서쪽 문을 통해 우스펜스키 사원에 들어가면 벽의 둘레에 단색 벽화, 샹들리에, 아이콘이 있는 사원 내부의 넓은 파노라마가 열린다. 

방문자의 눈길은 성스러운 행동이 수행되는 제단을 성당의 나머지 부분과 분리하는 거대한 성당 아이콘으로 인해 매력을 느낀다.

1481년 디오니 시우스와 그의 동료들에 의해 만들어진 현재의 5 계층 아이콘은 

거의 대성당의 높이 (16 미터가 넘는 높이)에 이르렀으며, 전자는 크기가 더 작고 (9 미터 반) 대체되었다. 

새로운 iconostasis는 가부장적 왕좌에 선출 된 직후 Patriarch Nikon에 의해 명령되었습니다. 

64개의 아이콘이 포함된 이 그랜드 앙상블은 1653년 3월부터 1654년 1월까지 단 10개월 만에 만들어졌다. 

아이콘은 야로슬라블 (Yaroslavl), 코스트로마 (Koststroma), 오스타시코프 (Ostashkov) 등 

여러 도시에서 수집한 "포드 아이콘 화가"에 의해 그려졌다. 

그 중에서도 유명한 화가였던 코스스트로마 바실리 일린 (Koststroma Vasily Ilyin)과 

야로슬라블 예술가 세바스티안 드미트리예프 (Sevastyan Dmitriev)와 나중에 무기고의 유명한 아이콘 화가 중 하나가 된 

이오시프 블라디미로프 (Iosif Vladimirov)는 특별한 예술로 눈에 띄었다.

크렘린에 있는 우스펜스키 사원 iconostasis의 일부이다.

건물 내부를 보면 돔의 구멍이 같은 것을 알 수 있다. 

중앙 드럼의 직경은 헤드가 상승하는 구멍의 직경보다 약 1미터 더 크다. 

첫 번째 벽화는 성전 건축 2년 후인 1481 년에 제단 방벽과 Petroverigsky 및 Pohvalsky 예배당이 채색되어 성당에 나타났다. 

1513-1515 년 성전은 벽화로 완전히 장식되었다.

1481년 벽화의 일부는 오늘날까지 살아남았으며, 16세기 초의 벽화는 1642-1643 년에 완전히 재작성되었다. 

그러나 벽화의 내용은 바뀌지 않았다. 왕실 법령에 따르면 "샘플에 찍힌" 벽화의 원래 모습이 반복되었다.
