인상주의 영향과  더불어  이탈리아 수상도시 베니스의 독특한 매력을 아름답게 표현한 작품이다.

<비온 후의 파리>와 파리의 밤 풍경을 그린 많은 작품들은 
코로빈이 얼마나 파리를 사랑했는지 잘 보여주고 있다. 
그리고  그의 가장 큰 공로 중 하나가 인상주의 화풍을 조국 러시아에 처음으로 소개한 
러시아 최초의 인상주의 화가라는 점인데 그의 많은 파리 시절의 작품들은 그 이유를 잘 말해 주고 있다.

코로빈의 이 무렵 작품들은 전형적인 인상주의 화풍을 따르고 있음을 느끼게 해준다. 
1900년대 이후 코로빈은 연극 무대에 관심을 갖고 무대장식예술에 자신의 재능을 쏫기 시작하는데  
명망 있는 화가인 그가 무대 장식 예술에 몰두한다는 것은 매우 이례적이고 놀랄 일이 아닐 수없다.​

<고대도시>를 표현한 이 작품은 인상주의 화풍보다 더 현대미술에 가까운 기법이 느껴진다. 
1910년은 세계1차 직전으로 그가 자신이 졸업한 <모스크바미술학교> 에서 
4년간 교수로 재직하며 후진을 양성하던 시기의 작품이다. 
계속되는 세계대전과 러시아의 혁명 속에서도 콘스탄틴은 자신이 좋아하는 그림을 그리며, 
무대장식을 하는 일도 꾸준히 병행하게 된다.

어린시절 시골집에서 본 겨울 달밤의 풍경이 되살아나 한 없이 그리워지게하는 작품이고, 
꿈 속에 본 달밤의 풍경처럼 몽환적인 작품이다. ​

<파리의 아침> 아침 연기와 안개로 회색빛 건물 사이고 

붉은 태양이 대조를 이루는 위의  <파리의 아침> 이나,  
아래의 <봄>과 <모스크바강의 다리> 등과 같은 작품을 보면 
마치 프랑스 인상주의 화가의 작품과 차이를 느끼지 못하겠다.

다시 봄이다. 늘어선 자작나무 밑에 테이블을 펴고 봄 맞을 준비를 하고 있다. 
땅은 아직 질척거리고 하늘 한 편에는 차가운 겨울의 흔적이 남아 있지만, 
햇빛은 포근하고 나무는 다시 연두색을 바르기 시작했다. 
수없이 돌아오는 봄이지만 똑 같았던 봄이 있었을까?
